Robert J. Vodzack is the chief financial officer for Imperial Irrigation District. He began working for the district in August 2006 as director of the Finance Department. 

Before joining IID, Bob worked as director of finance for Constellation Energy’s Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant. Other positions include: chief financial officer for Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority; controller for Sithe Energies, Sithe Mid-Atlantic Operations and chief accounting officer for GPU Generation. He’s also held various accounting and finance management positions with Pennsylvania Electric Company, a subsidiary of GPU, Inc. 

Bob holds a master of business administration/finance degree from Indiana University of Indiana, Pa., and a bachelor of science in information systems/accounting from Kings College in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. He is a certified public accountant.  

He is a native of Harrisburg, Pa. and a member of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Institute of Management Accountants. 

Bob brings more than 10 years of executive financial management experience as chief financial officer, chief accounting officer, controller and more than 25 years total electric and water utility industry experience to the district. He has an extensive background in increasing financial performance, strategic planning, finance, and accounting management in regulated utility and merchant generation in the private and public power sectors. 

His expertise encompasses: strong accounting and financial management skills, devising and implementing strategic business plans, enterprise systems implementation, cost/internal control systems, risk management, long-term financial planning and annual budgets, investor and rating agency relationships, information technology, revenue bond financing, and accounting and reporting to meet regulatory requirements. 

He and wife Linda are in the process of relocating to the Imperial Valley. Their son Chris lives in South Carolina with his wife Donna.
