Anthony Sanchez is the Imperial Irrigation District Director representing Division 5, which includes the city of Calexico, the community of Heber and the majority of the city of Holtville. He is 31 and one of the youngest persons ever to hold a seat as IID director. 

Sanchez was elected to the board in November 2006, winning a run-off election. He serves as an adviser on the district’s comprehensive infrastructure plan.  

Born in Heber, Sanchez received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from California State University, San Marcos. He currently works in sales and marketing. He is single and resides in Heber.
