Due to limited funding, IID is no longer accepting 2010 Residential PV Solutions applications. 2011 applications will not be accepted until January 1, 2011. Systems constructed in 2010 will not qualify for the 2011 rebate program. IID offers rebate incentives of $2.60 per watt ac up to 15 kW for residential customers. All rebate requests must have IID pre-approval before installation.
_________________________ Federal Tax Credit Information Consumers who install solar energy systems (including solar water heating and solar electric systems), small wind systems, geothermal heat pumps, and residential fuel cell and microturbine systems can receive a 30 percent tax credit for systems placed in service before December 31, 2016. This legislation also provides for "eligible customers" to receive the additional benefits provided by a billing process referred to as Net Energy Metering. In support of these objectives, IID has tailored its tariff rates and interconnection requirements to facilitate this process.
