Variable Speed Pool Pump Rebates / Back
Energy Department- Residential Efficiency - Residential Rebates -

A swimming pool is a major investment. There are a number of ways to reduce the cost of maintaining your pool. By using energy wisely you can save money and protect our environment. One of the biggest users of electrical energy is the pool filter, or pump. Energy costs can further escalate if your pool has an in-floor automatic cleaning system, as this type of system requires an additional pump.

Operational costs can be reduced by limiting the amount of time your pumps run and by selecting off-peak hours (between 9 p.m. and 9 a.m.) to run them. By investing in a time clock, you can have daily control over your water filtration system. As a general rule, all water in the pool should be filtered at least once every 24 hours. Consult a pool professional to determine the optimal usage required for your pool.

Variable Speed Pool Pumps

By replacing your single-speed pump you can save up to 80 percent on your pool related energy costs. Plus, by using IID’s Energy Rewards rebate program you could qualify for an additional $200 rebate on the purchase and installation of an energy-efficient variable-speed residential pool pump. With temperatures soaring, pools and the pumps that filter them, are almost a desert necessity.

If you’re filtering your pool with a single-speed pump, IID would like to offer you a valuable rebate to help you upgrade to an energy efficient variable speedpump. Here are several good reasons to replace your single-speed pool pump today:

  • Save up to 80 percent on energy costs associated with pool operation
  • Variable speed pumps run cooler and quieter, which helps the pump last longer
  • The filter works more efficiently to keep the pool water cleaner and healthy

You could qualify for a $200 incentive through IID’s Energy Rewards rebate program. Here’s how to apply

  1. Purchase and install your new product
  2. Complete the rebate application and send the required documentation to IID
