Weather charts indicate strong high pressure aloft for sunny days with very hot afternoon temperatures through Sunday.  Building afternoon clouds over the nearby mountains. This Sunday should mark the 100th day this year when the temperature reached 100 degrees or more at El Centro. The hottest days this summer were way back in June.  On June 20 and 21, the highs were 119 in El Centro.
