Our Responsibility to You

    1. In the event of a work-related injury, assure that you receive adequate and timely medical care.
    2. Your supervisor will stay in touch with you on a regular basis.
    3. The disability management area of Employee Benefits Services will coordinate with your benefits, such as worker’s compensation for injuries received while on the job; short-term/long-term (STD/LTD) disability; eligible sick and vacation leave. If you are eligible for any protected leaves such as:

      a.       Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA)

      b.       California Pregnancy Leave Act (CPLA)

      c.       Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)

      d.       California Fair Employment and Housing Act      
             (FEHA)

    4. Return to your regular job as soon as medically appropriate as determined by your treating physician.
    5.  Provide your treating physician with your job description and physical audit so that they can make informed decisions regarding your ability to work.
