Anthony Sanchez is the Imperial Irrigation District director representing Division5, which includes the city of Calexico, the community of Heber and the majority of the city of Holtville. He is one of the youngest persons ever to hold a seat as IID director. 

Director Sanchez is an adviser for the district’s comprehensive infrastructure plan that seeks to develop and implement asset life-cycle management policies and practices. 

Mr. Sanchez was elected to the board in November 2006 by winning a run-off election. Born in Heber, Sanchez received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from California State University, San Marcos. He currently works in sales and marketing. He is single and resides in Heber.
