The IID HazMat Unit has 5 California Certified Technicians and/or Specialists available on call 24/7 to respond to any type of hazardous material spill found on IID property or rights-of-ways/easements.
IID HazMat Unit is an active member of Imperial County’s Hazardous Incident Response Committee (HIRC) and the Hazardous Emergency Action Team (HEAT).
The IID has 3 hazardous materials spill response vehicles and two spill response trailers located at key locations within Imperial County.
