The functions of the Environmental, Regulatory & Emergency Planning Section (EREP) include: implementing the District’s Environmental Policy by reviewing all environmental laws and regulations, as well as analysis, auditing and planning of District compliance to avoid or minimize potential impacts of District projects and actions on the environment; conducting proactive hazardous materials and waste handling, storage and disposal in compliance with all regulatory requirements with a goal of pollution prevention and resource conservation; and, developing, organizing, and documenting the District’s Environmental Operation Plan (s) and assuring that the District is fully functional in disaster preparedness, response and recovery.
