The Imperial Irrigation District (IID) has embarked upon an aggressive effort to further on-farm, as well as system conservation of Colorado River water in the Imperial Valley.

The current process, referred to as the Definite Plan will provide IID with a roadmap for the implementation of efficiency conservation projects based on voluntary grower participation in the implementation of various on-farm conservation measures. System conservation projects will also be designed to both conserve water and provide the flexibility and service necessary to facilitate on-farm conservation efforts.
