The other primary aquatic weeds in our system are sago pondweed (Potemageton pecitinatus) and Eurasian watermilfoil (Europhyllum spicatum) and some southern naiad (Najas sp.). 

As in many areas of the US, these plants are considered an aquatic invasive nuisance and programs eradicate them are in place at IID.
