The Resources Planning and Management (RPM) section is responsible for the management and protection of the IID’s water resources. The RPM section provides technical assistance and oversight, develops conservation, monitoring and compliance programs, manages water quality issues and projects, and is involved in the review and analysis of documents and plans as they relate to IID’s water supply. This section manages the implementation of water conservation and transfer programs and represents IID in negotiations and consultations with other State and Federal agencies regarding the use of Colorado River water and related activities. The Irrigation Management and Monitoring Unit (IMMU), within the RPM section, is tasked with implementing IID’s on-farm outreach efforts including a variety of support services related to field level water conservation and management projects.  IMMU also provides water quality and flow monitoring services for both IID and on-farm activities.
