Ag Water Clearinghouse

Print

The Agricultural Water Clearinghouse is established by the Equitable Distribution Plan. It is administered by IID staff with oversight provided by the Agricultural Water Distribution Board made up of one member selected by the WCAB representatives of each division. Water transferred via the AWC is used after all other water available to a field in the farm unit has been consumed. The cost for water from the AWC is $20/AF which must be paid before the water is transferred to the farm unit. If this water is used before the end of the year, you will receive a $20/AF credit for each AF consumed. The AWC accepts transfer offers and fills water requests monthly. The deadline for submission of an offer or request—via a Clearinghouse Notice of Transfer—is the 20th of each month. If the 20th of the month falls on a weekend, the deadline is moved to the following business day.
