IID is accepting on-farm efficiency conservation proposals.
The IID Board has directed staff to accept on-farm efficiency conservation proposals from landowners and tenants until IID’s 2015 conservation obligations are fulfilled. The Program’s goal is to incentivize agricultural water customers to conserve up to 60,000 acre-feet in 2015 by implementing water use efficiency improvement projects on their farms.
The current on-farm efficiency conservation program pays $285 per acre-foot of delivered water reduction, verified against baselines derived from historical deliveries specific to each field and crop. For program details, see the On-Farm Program Description attached below.
