Job Description Overview

Primary Function:

Under general direction, assist the energy manager in managing the district’s power operations activities and personnel involved in construction and maintenance, substation construction, metering, distribution engineering, and field customer service; coordinates activities and acts as the Senior Manager for the Coachella Valley headquarters for operational and support personnel including general services, human resources, public affairs, and information technology departments. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or public administration and five years of operational experience with emphasis on infrastructure construction management and maintenance, distribution and transmission engineering or planning and administration.

Progressively responsible directly related experience may be substituted for the required education in experience related to the administration of a large division unit within an electric power utility.

Licensing and Certification Requirements:

A valid driver's license issued by the State of California, Department of Motor Vehicles is required.

An official current driving record (obtained within the last six months) from your local State Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or from official DMV website must accompany job application (no third party records accepted).
