Job Description Overview

Primary Function:
Under general supervision, measures, records and controls the distribution and flow of irrigation water received from main canals; diverts water to users in accordance with water orders; relieves other Zanjeros and patrols the division system as assigned; performs minor maintenance on canals and structures. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
High school equivalent with supplemental courses in computer operations and records management and two years of experience involving customer service, knowledge of county roads, canal locations, computer operations, record keeping procedures, and working in local weather conditions.

Licensing and Certification Requirements:
A valid driver's license issued by the State of California, Department of Motor Vehicles is required.

An official current driving record (obtained within the last six months) from your local State Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or from official DMV website must accompany job application (no third party records accepted).
