Job Description Overview

Primary Function:
Under general supervision, analyzes and troubleshoots the district’s electrical transmission and distribution system and makes electrical equipment repairs as necessary; responds to emergency and customer trouble calls and completes repairs to system to restore electrical service to customers; prepares, reviews and executes switching orders in coordination with system operation center personnel; installs and removes electrical services, analyzes system problems and recommend appropriate plan of action with SOC and construction personnel. Performs other duties assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Certified lineman from an accredited trade school and; extensive experience as a Lineman, Journeyman and a minimum of two years of work experience as a Lineman Journeyman working with the district’s electrical system required.

Specific Skills/Requirements:

Licensing and Certification Requirements:
A valid Class "A" driver’s license issued by the State of California, Department of Motor Vehicles and current medical
card is required.

Annual Rubber Glove and Hot Sticks Certification required.

An official current driving record (obtained within the last six months) from your local State Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or from official DMV website must accompany job application (no third party records accepted).
