Job Description Overview

Primary Function:
Under general supervision, inspects, services, and repairs fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, smoke detectors and insures accessibility to fire extinguisher; refills, charges or recharges dry chemical extinguishers, and send other fire extinguishers out for testing or refilling; and coordinates with contractors regarding servicing of halon, INERGEN, wet system and security alarm system. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
High school equivalency and two years’ experience in testing, repairing, implementing and maintaining of fire safety
equipment and fire extinguisher inspection, service and refill experience of A, B & C type equipment.

Specific Skills/Requirements:

Licensing and Certification Requirements:
Type 1 & 2, California Fire Extinguisher Certificate of Registration is required.

A valid driver's license issued by the State of California, Department of Motor Vehicles is required.

An official current driving record (obtained within the last six months) from your local State Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or from official DMV website must accompany job application (no third party records accepted).
