Director Lewis Pacheco currently represents Division 4, which includes the majority of Calexico, south Heber, and the IID service area along the U.S. – Mexico border. He was elected to the IID board in the November 2024 runoff election.

Director Pacheco brings a wealth of experience to his role, having served two terms on the Calexico City Council, including a term as mayor. 

He previously served on the Calexico Unified School District Board of Trustees, where he actively participated in governance and policy-making, and on the Imperial County Planning Commission.

A Calexico native, Director Pacheco has a distinguished career in public education, exceeding 30 years of public education experience. This includes 21 years of service as a principal, in addition to roles as a teacher and assistant superintendent for human resources.
