The district has a longstanding policy of non-discrimination in matters of employment. IID's Affirmative Action Plan was developed to assure equal opportunity to qualified individuals regardless of their race, sex, national origin, religion, age, ancestry or sexual orientation. This affirmative action policy covers all aspects of the employment relationship, including recruitment, hiring, assignment of duties, promotion, compensation, selection for training, discipline and termination/discharge. The policy applies to all employees and applicants of the district.
