As the coronavirus pandemic continues to evolve, IID remains committed to the health and safety of its customers and employees. As an essential service provider, we are currently staffed to continue to provide reliable power and water service to our customers. If you should experience a power outage, please contact our call center at 1-800-303-7756. For problems with water orders, please contact your local water division office.
The list below includes easy to access information for customers that need to conduct business with IID.
Customer Service Walk-In Centers
IID’s customer service walk-in centers remain open. Operating hours are:
- Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. (Drive-up window available at the El Centro Customer Service Center)
Several authorized pay stations are also available to accept in-person payments.
Customer Service Call Center
Representatives are available from 6:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m., Monday-Friday, toll-fee at 1-800-303-7756.
IID Customer Connect
Customers may also visit the IID Customer Connect web portal (https://myaccount.iid.com/portal/) to update account information, make payment arrangements, connect/disconnect or transfer service and more.
Water Customer Service
For irrigation information or a water emergency, customers can contact their local Water Division Office, 5:30 a.m.-5 p.m., seven days a week. Please note, in response to COVID-19, the water division offices are not accepting walk-ins. Contact your local division office to make an appointment. IID also offers water customers an on-line bill payment option at (https://mywateraccount.iid.com/).
Customer assistance
Starting February 17, 2021, IID customers who have past-due balances of $50 or more will be automatically enrolled in a 8-month or 12-month payment plan for outstanding utility debt accrued through December 31, 2020.
Affected customers will be notified of their specific payment plan details by IID.
IID understands many customers are facing financial hardship due to the pandemic and will continue to be flexible, working with each one to provide payment assistance through its programs or referring them to partner agencies.
With this change in policy, disconnections for non-payment will resume under normal business procedures.

If you need help paying your bill, the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) may be able to help you with a one-time payment. LIHEAP provides assistance to eligible low-income households with the goal of managing and meeting their immediate home energy needs. LIHEAP is federally funded and not administered by IID.

The Community Action Partnership of Riverside County now has their utility assistance application available online, making it easier for IID customers to apply.
Customers can qualify for up to $1,000 under LIHEAP.
