IID is investing to modernize its power infrastructure, enhance grid reliability, and support renewable energy in the Imperial Valley and beyond. Key initiatives include repowering old plants, refurbishing hydro turbines, expanding battery storage, and upgrading transmission lines.

We’re investing in over 270 projects—worth $3.34 billion over 15 years—to maintain critical infrastructure, enhance operations, and tackle system challenges. These efforts help us meet demand, improve service, and protect the resources we all depend on.
