Green Grants are available to non-profit organizations located in IID's service area. Funding is limited to energy efficiency/management upgrades and investments in renewable resources. 

Requirements
Applicant must be a non-profit entity. This includes educational institutions and government agencies. 

Proposed project must align with one of the four key funding areas: 
     a. Energy efficiency/management upgrade 
     b. Income qualified assistance 
     c. Renewable resources
     d. Research, development and demonstration of emerging energy management technology 

Funding
Each project may qualify for up to $2,500* per calendar year. 
*Exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis.

How to get started
Please submit an interest letter detailing the request for funding to IID. The letter should include the following information:

• Review guidelines and requirements
• Estimated number of people that will be reached through the proposed project
• Overall project goal
• Amount of funding requested 
• Short description of the organization or entity requesting the funding
• Proposed timeline
