At IID, we’re always looking for ways to help our customers save money and live more sustainably. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce the Efficient Appliance Savings Year-round (EASY) program that will provide significant savings and energy efficiency improvements at NO COST to customers enrolled in any of IID’s rate assistance programs.

• Free Upgrades for Eligible Customers: If you’re enrolled in rate assistance programs READY, EASE, or SHIELD (excludes customers only on Budget Billing), you’ll have the opportunity to exchange your old inefficient refrigerator for a brand-new, high-efficiency model—completely free of charge. To qualify, your existing refrigerator must be in working condition (cooling must function) and be more than 5 years old.
• Limited Availability: Due to anticipated high demand, spots are expected to fill up quickly. Don’t miss your chance to be part of this amazing opportunity to reduce energy consumption and lower your electric bills.
• Replacement Refrigerator Details: The replacement refrigerators offered through the program are top-mount models, white in color, and come without an ice maker. Customers will be able to choose from three (3) different sizes to best fit their household needs.

• Save Money: Energy-efficient refrigerators use less power year-round, which means lower electricity bills for you.
• Help the Planet: By upgrading to energy-efficient models, you’re also helping reduce environmental impact—saving energy and lowering carbon emissions.
• No Cost to You: As a participant, you won’t pay a penny for the appliance replacement and we’ll properly dispose of your old unit(s).

IID has partnered with Precision NRG, to perform the appliance recycling services designed to guarantee that every appliance collected through energy efficiency programs is fully demanufactured. This includes ensuring all hazardous materials and components are removed, stored, transported and disposed of in a responsible manner in accordance with federal, state and local rules and regulations.
