Pay by Mail
When you receive your monthly bill, mail the bottom portion of your bill and your payment back in the return envelope. Please pay by check or money order only.

Pay by Phone
You can pay your bill by phone with a credit/debit card and bank account. Have your IID bill and payment type handy and call 1-800-303-7756 or 1-760-335-3640. A $2.45 transaction fee will be applied.
Pay in Person
Pay your bill by cash, check or money order at any IID office or authorized pay station. Bring your electric bill or account number. Some IID offices are also equipped with after-hours drop boxes. You may also pay using a credit/debit card at any IID office, a $2.45 processing fee applies.

Western Union Quick Collect
Customers can make payments at any participating Western Union location. For a complete list, visit www.locations.westernunion.com or visit any Rite-Aid, Vons or Walgreens. Please note a $1.50 transaction fee will be applied and payment will be posted to your account the same day.
With the EZ PAY program, you can have your monthly electric bill automatically deducted from your designated checking account. To get started, print and complete the authorization form. Once completed, return the form to IID along with a voided check. IID will inform your financial institution of the amount due each month and the bank will automatically deduct that amount from the pre-designated account on the amount due by date shown on the lower portion of the statement.
You will receive your bill monthly showing the amount due and the date due. Payments will be itemized on your monthly banking statement. There is no charge to sign up for EZ PAY, but a $20 fee will be assessed to electric bills for insufficient funds. If a payment is rejected by a financial institution more than three times within a 12-month period, IID reserves the right to terminate your participation.
Average Bill Payment Plan
To avoid fluctuating power bills, customers can take advantage of our Average Bill Payment Plan. The plan works as follows:
- Your average bill is determined by totaling your power bills for the past year, adding an inflation factor, and dividing by 12
- For the next 11 months, you will be billed according to the new averaged bill amount
- Each month your meter is read as normal and you will receive a statement reflecting the usage, but billing the averaged amount
- In your 12th month of participation, you will receive a settlement statement which should be close to the averaged amount. However, an increase or decrease in consumption may cause a larger settlement or a credit

Please remember IID bills post-consumption. The credit extension for service provided to you is a courtesy, so please pay your bill by the date listed on the invoice to maintain a good credit standing.
If you receive a delinquent notice on your account, please issue payment immediately at one of the IID offices or call (760) 335-3640 or toll free 1-800-303-7756 to make arrangements and keep your account current.
Please do not use a pay station to remit payment for a delinquent account.
