The Energy Efficient Schools Initiative (EESI) – Call for Projects is designed for K-12 educational institutions in the realization of energy efficient upgrades to their facilities through competitive grant opportunities. Qualifying energy efficient upgrades include lighting and HVAC measures. The EESI program is a collaboration between IID and Citizens Energy Corporation. Funding for this program is provided by Citizens Energy.
Please note: Minimum HVAC efficiency requirements for the EESI program are:
14 SEER / 11 EER for split and packaged AC units
