Imperial Irrigation District
Home MenuYou may have an opportunity to help brighten your community by placing creative, colorful designs on electrical equipment operated by the Imperial Irrigation District. At the explicit authorization of the IID, your design, which would consist of a vinyl wrap, could bring color to ground-mounted energy equipment in your area.
What kind of energy equipment is eligible for wrapping?
Energy equipment that may be suitable for vinyl wrap designs could include pad-mounted or ground mounted equipment (such as commercial transformers, switches sector boxes, capacitor enclosures and switch cabinets) that are part of the IID power distribution system located in industrial and commercial areas.
Equipment located in or adjacent to residential area is not eligible for wrapping, with the exception where a home owner’s association, or similar organization has approved the installation of vinyl wraps.
Who can sponsor the installation of vinyl wraps on IID power distribution equipment?
Agencies, established community beautification organizations, local service clubs, home owner associations and commercial/industrial property owners, hereinafter known as Community Organizations, with explicit Imperial Irrigation District written authorization, may sponsor the installation of vinyl wraps by contractors that have substantial experience installing vinyl wraps on energized high-voltage power equipment.
