At IID we strive to provide reliable service at a fair and reasonable rate. The following are some of the ways we keep our rates low:

• No shareholders – we focus on lower rates and not profits
• A large portion of our energy is self generated – we are less influenced by market prices
• Access to low cost federal hydro power – provided by our affiliation with the Western Area Power Administration
• Tax exempt – making the borrowing process easier
• Customer owned – community elected Board of Directors partake in the rate process
