PowerClerk: IID’s Official Platform for Interconnection Applications
Effective January 1, 2024, IID no longer accepts Distributed Interconnection Applications via email. All applications must now be submitted through PowerClerk, IID’s dedicated online platform for processing all interconnection applications. To get started, please create a customer or contractor account on the IID PowerClerk website.
Effective May 1, 2025, all new development or construction payments for solar inspections will no longer be handled through the Customer Service Proposal (CSP) application process. The IID Solar Unit will begin implementing a solar inspection fee of $255.00 (prices are subject to change) per interconnection application received after May 1, 2025. Other charges may apply as service request(s) are defined.
If you have made a payment through the CSP system for a solar inspection, please make sure to include the service order number on each interconnection application. Failure to do so may result in delays in the interconnection application process.
Effective March 1, 2025, fees for Customer Service Proposals have changed, which may affect your interconnection application. For a complete list of new prices, please visit www.iid.com/CSPpricingsheet.

IID wants to ensure that your electrical generating equipment is interconnected with the power grid in a manner that’s safe and reliable.
Before moving forward with the interconnection process, it’s important to understand that IID’s previous compensation program, Net Energy Metering (NEM) has reached its cap and is closed and any new applications received for interconnection will be processed and compensated through IID’s new Net Billing Program, unless it falls within one of the extension categories listed above and meets the submittal requirements.
FAQs
- What is the difference between the two programs?
