IID’s Funding Local Opportunities for Water (FLOW) grant program encourages local government agencies that have water and agricultural-related infrastructure improvement projects, which provide community benefits, to apply for this one-time 50-50 matching grant program.

• Extended Application Deadline July 31, 2026, 5 p.m.: Application period closes.
• October 2026: Award announcements expected.

• Required: Complete and sign the application and submit, along with required support documentation, by email to FLOW@iid.com.
• Following up: Applications will be validated within five business days of submission for completeness and eligibility. Applicants will have up to 10 business days after the application deadline to submit missing information for potential consideration.
• Applicants may message FLOW@iid.com if it has been five working days after submittal and no notification has been received and deemed complete.
• There are no restrictions on the number of applications an entity can submit; however, agencies should provide a clear statement of their submittal priorities, if appropriate.
• FLOW grant awards are non-transferable.
